Our Story
Founders Tami Stronach and Greg Steinbruner dreamed up Paper Canoe Company over coffee in a bakery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their shared vision was to use the creative techniques of their multi-decade careers in classical theater, physical theater, and contemporary dance to create a powerful new paradigm for stories for general audiences. A paper canoe is a whimsical vessel made of the most impermanent material that floats downstream; it goes anywhere your imagination can take you.
